Jared420
Got my Aq 2200s last night, hooked them up real quick to test them and they worked great so I unhooked it all so I could make good connections today when it was a better time to do it than midnight last night. Hooked it all up today and they are working great, still need to fine tune a bit but the only problem that I probably didn't notice last night, is that when I am idling I am getting for lack of a better term "ground noise"? maybe, its just a steady rumble from the subs and its louder the more I turn the bass knob up. If gain is 0 I either cant hear it or just barely. goes away completly when I get on the gas. it will come back a little bit if I am coasting down a road giving no gas and the rpms drop very low. like I said just at idle basically. I left my truck on for a few mins with the gain up just maybe 1/5 so i could hear it and I jiggled and checked all my rcas and grounds and no change at all. what could be causing this? where else can I look Quote 2012 silverado ext cab ltz 24" kmc rims AudioQue 2200 Pioneer AppRadio Alpine mrx f35 4 channel Bose mids and highs Iraggi Alt + stock alt in a DC power dual alternator kit Yellowtop+stock under hood 0 gauge Knu wire Big 3 4 gauge stinger (4 chan wiring) 3 DC 10'' LVL3 with LVL4 parts
memphisBred
Are any of your power wires touching or close to the RCA's? When I hooked up my Sundown 125.2 to test my AA mids, I got a ground noise coming through my mids. Checked all the wires and noticed my Knu power wire was in direct contact with RCA's. Ever since i cleaned up and straightened my wiring, everything has been all good. Quote SMD Super Seller/Buyer Audison----Hertz----Rainbow

Jared420
any tips on grounding my head unit or ideas of what else could cause this noise? I have never had this happen before only thing that has changed in my setup is amps. huh?do-what?
any other suggestions? I thinks its kind of weird it stops when I rev it up does that mean anything? your crossover may be filtering out the noise at higher frequencies. Quote God damn its hot today.
