moetpoppin
I have a quick question for mounting subs. I have noticed there are a few ways subs come and should be mounted. Both my RF P3 12"s and my RF P1 10" are obviously supposed to be mounted from the outside of the box. However, I have come across a pair of subwoofers on ebay for cheap that I am not sure which way I am supposed to mount the. On the RFs, the metal is shaped in a way that should only be mounted to the box from the outside with the coils inside. You can tell by the shape of the metal that you would not want to mount this subwoofer inverted because of lip on the edge of the rim. And here is the new subwoofer I am talking about. Notice the foam ring on the front outside rather than inside. The inside of it is just bare metal. What do you think? STEvil
the foam is to make it look pretty to those who care. You can invert anything as long as you seal it decently. MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
