My buddy used vinyl and used a headliner glue from autozone... has held up for 1 1/2 years now...

For vinyl I would use contact cement, I once used spray adhesive and it all came off...

I found vinyl at walmart when I attempted to cover my box with it. It had a think layer of cotton like material on the back, and let me say, what a mess it was. Never doing that again. Try to find some without a backing so you can get a thicker more "foam" type material instead of cotton.

This is from the link i posted with the suede.. "Suede headliner material comes with 1/8" foam backing to easily replace your old cloth headliner material."

if its "foam" backing then you're good id say. Like i said, mine was this cotton shit, and it caught on every fuckin corner of the box and made it impossible to move around, then when you went to cut with a box cutter it snagged and ripped, and then when it came time to glue, oh god it sucked.
