fuggnore Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 okay, i had a big scare last night. i was playing some music and shit then alll the sudden my sub stopped. i was SOOOOO worried. but today i took it outa the box and discovered that the negative lead coming off the box terminal just fell off. HA what a relief. but anyway i decided to take that thing off and i just glued and screwed a peice of wood over it. i didnt really like it anyway, i would get little air leaks from were the wire goes in. the only reason i used it was so it would look a little nicer then some holes drilled with wires. but i just have my wires ran outa the port now (ghetto i know) but what would you guys recomend? just drilling two holes and running the wire out that way? 06 Honda Civic Si Sub: 15" Kicker L7 Sub Amplifier: Phoenix Gold RSd 1200.1 Head Unit: Kenwood KDC-HD545U Speakers: undecided Speaker amp: undecided Still alot more to come!!!
kl0wn Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 If you do just drill 2 holes then run the wire out, after you run the wire out through, throw some silicone on the holes so they will be completely sealed up. If you drill a hole and run it through it might be a good idea to tie a loose knot on either side of the hole so the the wire/s can't get pulled on and damage anything.
