Kola_king Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Ok so I have a 1999 Mercury Sable with a 220amp alt, i have a 4000 watt lanzar amp that I am hooking up to 2 12" lanzars. But when I am hooking up the 2nd battery in parallel I always get sparks and something melts...Help?! "If it moves and its not suppose to use duct tape, if it doesn't move and its suppose to use WD40." "If something broken fix it with a hammer, if a hammer cant fix it then its an electrical problem."

baaudio Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Sounds like there could be something wrong with your second battery then. What happens when you put a voltmeter to it? Obviously red + black - then do you get 12.x volts or -12.x volts?
