MarioB Posted August 31, 2010 Report Share Posted August 31, 2010 i have a question about my fuses i have in my car my wires are all 1/0ga. 1st question On my big 3 upgrade the wire from alt to battery i have a 250 amp fuse. should it be 300amp? 2nd question From my rear batteries to my 2 kicker 2500.1 amps i have a 200amp fuse should i use a 300amp fuse on these runs also? does it really make that much of a difference i havent blew no fuses yet but if it helps for them to be bigger ill change them out 12- DC Audio m2Lvl3 12's1- Hertz HSK3 way2- DC5K's2- ZX350.42- Stinger SP1500D batteries in rear3- runs of 1/0ga. to the rearTeam DC Audiodcsoundlab.com Quality is all in how you take pictures I have plenty of projects that look WAY better on camera then in person crazy to fit so many in so little. On the alt to battery run I used a 300a fuse for 1/0. It's not going to help anything as far as performance, it just is better to use fuses, of the right size, for different sized wires. Your fuses sound right for what you're running so just leave it.
