How much difference?

so i've already called up dc and gotten a quote on both the xl and the lvl 4, the xl isn't tons more than the lvl 4, but it is a little more, just wondering from anyone out there that has dc subs, whether lvl 4 or xl, or have had both, what the difference is,

c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old.

i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer.

For starters you could run alot more power to the XL than the lvl4, also if weight is a concern the XL weighs just over 20 pounds more than the LVL4.....

well, i'll most likely be running 1600 rms with a brutus..and weight really isn't a problem.

direct swap from level 4s to XLs the XLs were straight louder right out of the box.. they are beasty ass subs and can handle some abuse.. i loved mine, but if you are just starting out with the XLs you will move up pretty fast to the 5s or higher... I know I did

the level 4 will be a little bit more musical and will most likely sound better but the xl will get louder

Sub: 1 RE Audio HC 15 Dual 2 ohm(soon to get a psi recone)

Daily Sub Box: 1.62 cubes net with 2 dayton audio 8 inch passive radiators tuned to 34.35 hz, 141.9 @ 48 hz sealed on the dash with termlab

Competition Sub Box: 3.10 cubic ft. net tuned to 50.58 hz with 2 6 inch aeroports, 147.9 @ 62 hz sealed on the dash with termlab
