MECHMAN Posted September 5, 2010 Report Share Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) Unplug the pigtails from your stock alternator, and the Irraggi units. You will notice that on the regualtor plugs on the alternators, all of them are labeled P - L - F - S The only wire that needs to be hooked up for the alts to work is the " L " terminal. Cut the stock rectangular plug off of your truck, and solder the new pigtail's " L " wire (probably the yellow one, but look at the markings on the alternator to verify) to the wire in the truck's harness that went to the " L" terminal on the OEM alternator. The other three wires are not uses, and can easily be pulled out of the plastic plug with needle nose pliers. P.S. - Had you bought MechMan units, you would have recieved a pre-wired, plug and play adapter with instructions.
