amp going into protect

Changing terminal cups does not affect impedance rise.

Does everyone in this thread actually understand what impedance rise is?

Well i understand what impedance rise is to a certain point. But i thought i remembered somebody say either on this thread or the build log thread that ditching terminal cups and going to posts out the side of the box, decreased the rise in this particular setup. I might be wrong, and if I am please ignore this post, I'm still learning on the rise part, I just thought i recalled something like this.

EDIT: I Think this is why i said what I said. I think i took this statement the wrong way.

Place a few bricks in it to reduce the volume enough to stop it from going in to protect, i mean add a brick at a time cause your going to change the tuning as you add em.

takes 8 bricks to make up a cubic foot, haha i already considered it

  • 3 weeks later...

I have the same car as you and other than running a ground straight up to the front battery I have found that personally for my car(03 Grand Am) The strut tower is the best ground other than running 1 to the front....

Anyways I would of though the Sundown amp wouldnt of even flinched at .8ohms....how close are the bolt terminals??? I know its extremely unlikely they would arc unless they where super close but just throwing out ideas......You could always get a Crecendo 3k, since its stable down to .5 ohms and get more power at the same time....

All BS aside, If I see one more comment in here that is NOT about the pre-sale, I will start the vacations. And that includes the trolls feeding the trolls.
