DC Subs are killing my radio

I think I have to much bass for my radio. Every time the bass hits my radio shuts off then comes back on. I know it will not play Cd's, got tired of it skipping, does anyone have a recommendations for a decent radio. And no Kenwood's I just don't like them.

i have a pioneer navigation AVIC-Z110BT...i dont use cds..ipod and usb is the way to go..but anywho i love my pioneer

i am using a soundstream 8" dvd player, and my shit has only skipped on me once, and the whole time i was at slamology i was using CDs and it never skipped... paid like 220~ for it shipped to my door.

im using my ipod touch more now, since all my CDs got scratched up by me switching them out and tossing them everywhere, but its a nice deck man

10 Volts?? Thats LOW!!!Thats maybe why your deck is turning off. When i had a bad alt and the stator went faulty it would stay at 10.8 and the radio would keep turning on and off

edit: I wanna rephrase this, certain cars. I do have a buddy that gets down to 10.1 and his deck stays on and the whole system, but most of the time if your volts gets around 9 or 10 it will shut off

10 volts is pretty low.. Your amp is probably clipping at 10

Most amps are rated 12+

I agree about the clipping. I am looking into getting another battery or two along with a ho alt. but I am also thinking about getting a new ride (nissan x-cab) and moving my stuff in to that ride and just sue my car as the family ride. so no real use in getting the alt for the car at this time.
