Swaggasaur Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 i need to get a higher power battery. so im wanting to go with the yellow top optima, i know of XS and all the other ones. but im getting a pretty good deal on the optima. so my question is. if i want to hook up another battery. can i use the battery im replacing upfront and hook it in parallel as a second battery? so it would be. yellow top in front. and my duralast professional going to my amp. but would the duralast drain the new battery? If one has a lower resting voltage its going to essentially steal voltage from the other.
