remi_357 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 I got 2 fi btls 15 running off a ap30001d (audiopipe) my subs are dual 2s wired to 1 ohm per channel on the amp. I'm wanting to get a second ap3000d. Here is my question...the amps will not do 1 ohm "bridged" to a single speaker. Can I wire each coil to its own channel? Basically all said and done it will be 4 audiopipe 1500s. Each on its own coil at 2ohm which makes 950 watts per coil. (The ap30001d is 2 1500s in the same case.)

Loudcivic Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 if your lookin for more power i would say save up and get a autotek 4000 mean machince. they are rated 4000 @ 2 ohms. i just dont see adding the amp for a couple hundred watts. you gotta figure adding in another big amp means lower voltage which means less power from the amps 2015 silverado crew cab nothing atm but soon...

Team_DC-Derrick Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 just beef up your electrical, and try it on 1 sub at 1 ohm and see if it plays... bigpimpin91 only plays his audiopipe 3000s at 1ohm lol... just test it and see if you can do it, i know i personally couldnt... but when i sold him mine, he was playing it at 1 ohm fine.. 1 ohm bridged.. thats the quickest way to tell you if you can do it or not..
