carpets???

People use dynamat, hushmat, stinger road kill. Not to mention some other cheaper priced alternitives called peel and seal which is used for roofing. Its all pretty much sound deadening. It quiets the road noise, and helps to stop small rattles. It also seals up your car pretty good to keep the air pressure in your car making you a little louder.

My buddy has a 1993 190 E class, and that thing is hard to get it loud. It looks like yours is a bit newer tho.

Is this medical box on the rear deck of the car?

thats why i got rid of my bandpass that i built in my trunk, #1 it didn't meter well, #2 no matter the port size i always had noise, i kept going bigger and bigger and the noise never went away, and #3 it just never did sound right

You need a ported enclosure for that sub and that amp is awesome! I have installed many of them and they are great amps!

Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer

  • 3 weeks later...
I think you should switch to a basic ported box. 3.5ft w/ a pair of 4" aeroports tuned between 32-35hz. If you like deep bass go for 32hz.

well i payed quite a bit for this box (i know i should have made it myself)

The shop that built it is gonna help me fixxing it for free.. But they are pretty slow....

So would increseing the lenght of the ports help with the tuning?
