Biggest speaker wire for XL

Whats the biggest gauge speaker wire that the standard DC XL terminal can take, keeping in mind that some terminals will need to accept 2 wires. Think 2 8-gauge will fit?

I had 4ga on my SeXXX 12's. You can make it fit bro.

If you use bolts through the box as terminals you can switch up parallel/series/parallel-series combo from the outside of the box and use bigger wire

I'm sure 8g will work fine (maybe even 4g shaved down) if you use the bolts. I heard a demo truck that used 4g for thier woofers I was disappointed but at least they had the right idea.

If this is for your wall I suggest you do the nut and bolt terminals like flashlight said. That way you can switch up impedences without taking the subs out and you can use 8ga with no problem

I like the wiring from the outside idea, but I am fucking retarded when it comes to speaker wiring, series, parallel, ohm load. Just can't grasp ohm's law. Maybe someone could show me how to wire up to the bolts, then from the bolts to the subs. 3 dual 1.4s xl's. Looking to get close to 1 ohm as possible.

i always like the terminals on my solo-x's. you could screw the push terminal off, put whatever size wire in a ring terminal, then use the push terminal as a nut to hold it on.
