kingsuv
I KNOW proly OFN...but this sub is MAD NASTY. i love how the wattage handling is "if you have to ask" http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/woofers.asp?series=z Nice sub. I wonder how well it would hold up at 30hz at that power? When I was at CES looking at new subs, all the companies pointed to their SPL sub until I told them I was bass racing. They all said, "I don't have anything for that yet." Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
zaxfire69
Well I see for the 15" DD recommends 4.25 cuft with 85 square inches of port area...Now compared to my Fi sub I have 4 cuft with about 54 square inches of port area so..Thats about 30 more square inches than my current setup..So with more port area would that make the tuning go up or down..I am tuned to 30 hz... dwright27
ive posted how much they were like 70 times here, in another thread. and you do need around 24,000 watts RMS to get one loud. theres a guy with 4 Z2's on 1 woofer, so hes got 8 Z2s total and 2 of the 18Z's 4 Z2's at 18 volts makes like 8K watts. so you do the math -D Quote 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L. Alan dante is who your talking about, but I heard a rumor that he has took out the dd amps and is using stetsom 7ks now. And the z2 does put out 8200+ @ 1.15 ohms with 18volts, but who says he is running his amps at that? They are probolly running .5 or .75 ohms. So up that wattage a little bit more

So probolly knock a good $500 off the total once converted to us money. http://www.soundpressure.com/products3.asp?R=DD1&L=
