ALTERNATOR POWER

im running roughly 7000 watts and 3 amps, 2 big one small. i have a 270 amp mechman and im about to get 2 kinetik hc3800. would that alt. be able to charge my starting batt. and the other 2? or would i have to get a second alt?

by the way i have o gauge on the big 3 and o gauge running to the 2 kinetik's

Alternators don't charge batteries, not realistically. Would it support what you have? Yes

The alternator is what powers your car and the accessories. It will provide a SMALL amount of charge for a battery, but it's not a dedicated battery charger.

The alternator is what powers your car and the accessories. It will provide a SMALL amount of charge for a battery, but it's not a dedicated battery charger.

Even with a small alternator, it only takes about half the potential charging power to run the car. As for how much goes to the battery, the battery only takes as much as it needs.

is this a true 7000w or a half assed 7000w....

like each amp does 4000w max and in reality it does 900w...

name your amps, and ill tell you if you have the power to back it up

haha! just what I was thinking as I read this, i've got an amp sitting in front of me that says 4,000 WATTS like it's something special, and I'd be surprised if it puts out 400.
