Lemmi
so u kerfed mdf strip to shape and then kerfed a piece horizontally and straight up and down so when you put it up if would fold to the shape? i dont know how well ill be able to do it but ill give it a go. what thickness? 3/4, 1/2? The MDF strips are thin enough to not need any kerf cuts, they are quite flexible already, it's only the main panel the you need to kerf. I have some pics somewhere which I will post soon for you to help. The MDF stops are 1/4 inch, and the main panel is 1/2 inch... I think... I will confirm when I post pics. I'm sure your beetle project will be amazing, it's all down to time and imagination, I have been doing this project over a few years in my spare time (which i dont have much of) but it's finally coming together how i wanted. I'm glad you like how it looks, really appreciate the kind comments.

Lemmi
So heres the strips of MDF i made for the beetles roof. They are not solid on there own but it gives you something to screw to. Once the roof panel is in place it doesnt move. You could also fibreglass putty the battens in place if you want to be extra secure. I will be expanding foaming through the main panel once I am happy with the fit and finish. There you go, just for you Mr PimpnFosgates! Hope this is of some help. More photos of the door panels coming later. Im off to open the shop for the day..
