OrionStang
Only thing can suggest is a quick and heavy solder job. It would be easier at the terminal end, but at the vc end, good luck. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Sammitch0
It would work like a direct lead so yeah I'd suggest 10g/8g it will work temporarily. OrionStang
how do i do it if the rope don't reach each other. use some speaker wire or 10g power cable God damn!!! What did you do to blow up a lead like that? Yeah, 10 or even 12 gauge could be a temp fix. Hope it holds up for you at the show. treossi
it happened to me before too.. dc blamed my box.. i threw in digital design subs with direct tinsel leads and it was fine for like over a year on 4k watts each.. floating tinsel leads FTL why do people still use those? don't know oh well solder then direct and zip tie it to the basket so it doesn't flap around, then get some fi audio subs Quote Team sundownWESTCOASTSPL.COM we're throwing dbdrag events very soon visit the website for details
Mendozauly
So My quick fix only held up for the first time up. I was not getting close to what i can do only doing 147.8. Before the leads broke off. So i had Jeffry and a few other (chino,OD sounds) help me out and do another soldering job in between, metering. Never was able to hit 150+ it was a sad day for my DC's. I will be doing some home work on this and trying to find out how to stop this and if i need to ask Rusty for a special re-cone that haves 3 speaker leads per coil and have them shrink wrap. I also found out that my speaker where the old model and did not have the leads woven into. 9515ROB
see if they have tinsel leads that are woven thru the spider when you get a recone and they you dont have to worry about lead slaping because thats what caused it it sounds like Quote - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF
