you must be joking.......that DBX is a NICE unit...you are the very first person to ever diss on it and i have gotten hundreds of comments on youtube.

Not dissing to hard! Just really into this type of stuff. It was my life for the last 13 years! The dbx brand is chinese. I know, just about everything these days are chinese. QSC makes a really nice unit that has way more functionality. At I believe the same price point. Its called a qsc4. I am putting a pair to my mids and highs once my lazy ass gets around to installing them! Dude we live like 5 minutes apart! I have been trying to hook and run some shit by you..... I have the antedote!

damn there is people i know been doing it just as long if not longer and this thing has great reviews. Works pretty good. Who cares if its got Chinese parts, what DOESNT? As long as it works good i could care less. Its a solid unit so far.

oh and those towers in your Avatar are shockingly similar to the ones im building LOL - i swear i didnt get the idea from that. I just had two boxes that needed to be joined and not look like two boxes so i decided to do the angles and build a platform for the upper section to rest. It was completely random and i did it on the fly. I didnt even have a plan to do it like that i was actually going to do it a different way all the way to the last minute....but it was going to run too tall. Kinda crazy Anyway im down to check out whatever Antedote you have because im not to hard headed to take some advice if you wanna help me tweak my shit up! Just dont come over and tell me i bought all junk because i already have it all and thats what im using. I will buy MORE shit for the rack though if you know of more goodies

Dont give me the option of coming by! I will bring a bag filled with goodies! pm the location and a time that works ha. The tower in my avatar are timed aligned. Each box wieghs over 1 ton. The enclosure material is 4" thick in some areas they house a 22" 40hz and down. a 12" 40hz to 80hz (2) 9" drivers that play 80-500hz (2) 5" driver playing 500hz to 2000hz and a 1" that picks up the rest. It takes four channels of amplifier power and 4 dsp channels to make it fly. It sounds pretty cool. 12 feet tall when all said and done. I had to deliver these to a casino in las vegas, put them together with a handlift/forklift. Pain in the ass. Thought they were going to fall!

The transition from the subs to the towers is flawless. Looks hella clean. Are there any calculations that go into using PR's?

For Example, you wanted to use one 18" SMD in a recommended enclosure. Do the PR's have a calculated effect on the sound? As in more PR's or different size PR's affect the sound? Are they in anyway a substitute for tuning?

Or is it just, power one speaker in a sealed enclosure and add as many PR's as possible?

to be honest, i dont know too much about calculating PR's at all......i absolutely could not and would not have even thought of this without Scotts help. He is the MAN. I was just going to port them.
