Bumpin the TWP
What would be better for 2 Sundown Audio SA-15's. 3/4" MDF is what i want but would 1.5" MDF make it better? Or is 1.5" too much? Quote 2x Sundown Audio SA-15's nuff said for my little old car 1999 Plymouth Breeze Build Log
n8ball2013
you really shouldnt need to go thicker than 3/4. A few well placed dowels will take care of any flex if you have it. HHR Ed
you can never have too much. A 1.5" thick baffle will do ya good. Its not just for rigidity, but also wave control. Noobtastic14
After using both, IMO Birch ply is lighter and stronger but harder to work with and can be difficult to finish properly because of the grain and ply being exposed. pick your poison- -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. kingsuv
Depending on market value the price difference between MDF and a Cabinet grade Birch can be between 5-20 bucks. I would double check prices for both at your local hardwood supplier. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
