DylanH
port area for round ports is pi * (radius^2) -- radius squared So 1 6" aeroport would have 113 sq inches of port area? R_Mac_1
No, the radius of a 6" port is 3". 3 x 3 x 3.14 = 28.26 sq. in. You were using diameter. DylanH
So does the psp aeroport calculator thing right? Because I can't get enough port area and the right tuning without making a hella long port. I have a 5.5 cubic foot box and want it tuned to 33 hz and according to that I'm gonna need 4 6" aeroports that are 43" long each even if I do 3 6" aeros they would need to be 31"s long each Quote http://www.youtube.c...er/SmallTownSPL 2002 Chevy Blazer Substage: Shhh, its a secret Mids and Highs: Stock-Going to change soon Amp:MTX 92001 Wire:1/0 Welding cable Electrical:Stock http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 I hope she was meaning that to you. Skullz
Aero ports are 7" to 9" per foot, Round ports are 9" to 12" per foot and square or rectangle are 12" to 16" as a general idea of what to go by. R_Mac_1
Why do you need so much port area? If you're using aeroports you don't necessarily need the 12-16 that people usually recommend. In my buddy's 1.7 cube box for his SA12 we used a single 4 inch (which is a little over 12 sq in of port) and he doesn't have any port noise or anything. You could probably use 2 6 inch ports and that would be around 56 sq in of port, which is over 10 sq in per cube. CanUFeelMe
Do you think 20 sq. In. Per cube would be too much for aeroports? Robert8252
I do.
