i didnt delete your post, i dont know who did........but to answer your question, all of the tests other then the very first when it was IPOD ONLY straight to the amps has been ran THRU the Alpine. The ipod is direct connect to the alpine and the carputer is hooked up to the Aux-in on the Alpine. Like i said, the carputer (and ipod) are both "sources" and the Alpine takes care of the rest from there.

can u acess the dvd player on the carputer or does the deck have a dvd player built in? i was wondering cause i wonder how that sound sound playin a movie like blade or somethin like that would be kickass, anyway to cut a lil door into center console to acess the disk drive? just sayin that only if the deck didn't have it or not but it looks like it does but im not to sure, anyways truck looks sick as hell, this caddy gunna get more ink than chickens cuffs lol

Is their an expected completetion date of this project (the most outrageous car audio system I've ever heard of) ???

What's REALLY cool, is that I live about 45 minutes from Sac, so I'm hoping that someday soon I'll be able to see / hear it in person :-)

The deck has a built in DVD player

the deck takes care of the dvd needs. The carputer will have an accesable USB port if we need to add anything or install programs......i wasnt really wanting to mount a carputer dvd drive in this thing. I have a external one that i WAS using but i took it out. If anything from a dvd needs to be installed, i will just plug in the external dvd, handle it, then take it back out. This is a sound-machine, not a weekender with the kids....watching movies arent a priority but it will do it. Also, with Itunes installed, he can get all his music on the harddrive and he wont even need an ipod if he doesnt feel like using it.

no completion dates......im taking it day by day. Today is so F#$king windy outside i dont even want to go out there. The wind whipping my tarps (that hang by my work area) and my banners gets on my last nerves. Its hard to focus that way. Maybe ill just go up to chickens like i did last nite and tip back a 40 or 2 and call it a night
