Yeh, mclovin, the z is meant to get loud and thats it. Huge neo mags and below 60 hz its worthless....I dont know who told you the z is a sql sub but they were wrong. Maybe they meant the regular 9900 series but i dont think dd even does the 9900 series anymore. But you can get the 9500 series with an optional cone which basically makes it a 9900. the only difference in the 9500 and 9900 was the cone was stronger so that more power could be put to the sub before the cone folded.

And sorry for the hijack....whatever you decide meade will definitely turn heads, hell this thing is gonna turn heads anyways...it wont even need to be covered....

on the coverings. i think if you could pull off a two-tone of leather AND vortex that would be the shit. maybe leather on the side baffle that has the ports to match the seats and then the front baffles with the vortex. the image im kinda gettin in my head is the look the EXT had with the gator - but switch out the gator for vortex. but i dont know if its even logisticly possible

hmm...i think needlesnpins might be onto something...like have the entire thing done with Vortex, then have the part behind the seats done with leather and maybe some leather wrapped trim panels? that would look really good IMO

I think the vorex would look sick. Its different and not the norm from what people are used to seeing let alone how damn strong it would be to take the beating from those amps!!

actually that option is already on the table. I only know one thing, i need the baffles finished so i can get the subs in. I will probably shoot it inside and out even the sides when you open the back doors.....then i have the option to make a trim panel to go two tone .........gimme some time lemme get to it. Actually with the mirrors in the center chamber, it is already "two tone" in a sense so leather makes it 3 (if i do that).

This week was all about my 26's, getting inturrupted by company, and more 26's (jacked it up yesterday and cut plastic and metal up front, rolled other rear fender). Im also waiting on his alts and i have other key decisions to make......but i also told him that the week before world finals (next week) i am focusing on getting my Tahoe ready so ill be stepping back from the caddy for a second or two. No big deal, the box probably gets vortexed on tuesday (talked to him) so i will get SOME progress to show
