True....the housings have a slight purple tint but the light that hits the ground is still bright white (on the hoopty).

I spent about 2 hours going through all the build posts for this Caddy this morning, and I have to say; Steve, you really are an amazing guy. Your absolute attention to detail is utterly staggering, and your craftsmanship and patience with this project are all very commendable. Without ever seeing this, I dont think I would ever have had a full understanding of the complexities of designing, implementing, and building such a complex system. Kudos to you man, and I look forward to seeing more of your amazing work!

Steve has 7000s in the lows and fogs in his 2001 Tahoe, now Chicken has 12000s in the lows and fogs in his 2002 Escalade. I'd love to see some comparison pics for color/brightness differences for sure

you know i took pics and made a little video of the conversion install....i was doing other stuff yesterday and didnt get around to putting anything together though. Wiring up relays and shit for hours in the cold - then i have another challenge that i have to deal with thats messin with my program too......if it aint one thing its another. Im THIIIIISSS close though to finishing the system completely! Once i have the console in 100% and bolted down, its a matter of time before i pull her out of the work spot and take it down for the other "work" thats being done to the truck

i almost would rather do 4 alternators then a supercharger - it would be hard to do both due to belt length but ill have to see how he feels. This is a stereo-machine not a racecar so although the SC would be sick, more alt would be more appropriate. Its not the operating power consumption i am worried about, its the 1 1/2 minute "warm up" that is kinda hard on the alts.

anyway, i hear from chicken once a month if im lucky lately so i guess i wont know what to do till he calls me. The way it is lately, if i was finished today im not sure i would be able to get a hold of him to tell him. Oh well the best i can do is keep workin and hope for the best.

Hey steve,the 4 alts sound like a supercharger anyways,so that would be killing 2 birds with one stone lol.how much do the amps consume on power when they are "starting up"?

now my camera doesnt show EXACTLY how it looks in person......but the 12,000k is bright white with a purple tint to it.....no blue at all. I wish i could replicate it, but its so bright the camera doesnt know what to make of it LOL. You can see it hits the ground white as hell.
