pervitizm
It appears that my amps are not in sync with each other. The first amp that getting its input directly from the HU seem to be louder than the second amp that is getting its input from the output of the first amp. When i had them setup like this using my old Pioneer AVH P5700DVD I was able to gain match them were there was no audible difference in the sound. However now that I have them hooked up to this Pioneer DEH 7000BT, I can clearly see that one sub is hitting louder and harder than the other sub. The thing that is messed up is that the sub that is hitting louder hasn't had the gains adjusted at all on the amp. The gain setting for this amp is set to zero, while the second amp is set roughly at 1/4. Is there anything I can do to get these amps more in sync with each other. Can I split the RCA inputs coming from the HU with a y splitter and feed them to the input on both amps? Or do I need something like the Hifonics Maxx-Link? 2007 Chevy Suburban LT1 Pioneer AVH 5700 DVD Diamond Audio D3 6 1/2 components Kicker 06ZX650.4 amp Kicker 06ZX2500.1 (x 2) DC Sound Lab Level 4 18's with Level 5 coils Autotek Mean Machine 400.1D (replaced) Soon to come: rims body kit flow master pipes Confuscious say "he who say it can't be done shouldn't be bothering man busy doing it" Now feel free to go crawl back under that rock and leave this to the professionals.... pervitizm
I know that and I know that I can never get them to match exactly, however I shouldn't be able to visually see one outdoing the other so easily either. And the one that's louder is the one with zero gains set. It just confusing as hell. I'm going to take the DMM to it when I get off of work here to see what's going on. 2007 Chevy Suburban LT1 Pioneer AVH 5700 DVD Diamond Audio D3 6 1/2 components Kicker 06ZX650.4 amp Kicker 06ZX2500.1 (x 2) DC Sound Lab Level 4 18's with Level 5 coils Autotek Mean Machine 400.1D (replaced) Soon to come: rims body kit flow master pipes Confuscious say "he who say it can't be done shouldn't be bothering man busy doing it" Now feel free to go crawl back under that rock and leave this to the professionals.... pervitizm
try switching the main rca run to the other amp and see if the results are the same. Thanks for the suggestion. I flipped the RCA's around and it appears that its the sub that at issue and not the amps. Now I have the pain staking task of taking that heavy ass box out of my truck to figure out the issue with the sub. Thanks for the help.
