Too much port area possible?

I planned on building a new box for my BTL 18" 6.5 cubes with 4 6" aeroports, is there such thing as too much port area with aeroports or no?

use the torres box calculator and itll tell you... and on the fi website it will tell you the recommended ports..

while there is a such thing as too much port area with aero ports, my calc just uses a 'general rule of thumb' for port area for aero and slot ports.

i ran my 18 btl in 5.8 with 3 6" ports and i got a little port noise but they weren't flared just sono tube

thatll do it. it will kill your efficiency too.

Two 6" ports is all you need for a single 18".
