BanginOnABudget Posted February 18, 2011 Report Share Posted February 18, 2011 When talking about xplods, you have to refer to a certain model, the ones you HAD are actually pretty good SQ subs, the ones that at like 5 sided and shit, those are the ones to watch out for. BEGINNERS TIP: NEVER BUY A SUB THAT DOSENT HAVE A ROUND CONE what did you do with the old subs? i may want them for my grandfather truck im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire. The start of many Tang Band drivers ! Ordered this one for mock-up to start my A's !! Big box , tiny speaker !!! LOL Next to pop to show the size ! I was very surprised with the Kickers, they have amazing sound quality and pounding mid-bass, plus i am running them on full pass and x'd over at the HU and the also do very well in the mid-high areas also. The Line driver made a ton of difference, i had to turn all my bass and gain settings way down from where they were at previously. My gain on my Powerbass amp was able to turn down almost a quarter of a turn !!! I must have been getting a terrible signal from my HU. Since i was able to turn those settings down i was able to tune to much better and louder bass !! Plus it is a much cleaner signal than before !
