even if your seats will be up most of the time why wouldnt you still seal it off from the trunk and port thru the rear deck....it would still be louder......

right now i have 4 12s all facing up sealed box in a 2dr 06 (new model)honda civic and my cars is ALOT louder with the seats down..... but if i can meter soon then ill compare scores cuz im rebuilding soon and sealing of at the trunk and porting it thru the rear deck

Yeah depends on the setup, 3 db lost/gain was on 2(dual)LOL 15's setup's and 1 db lost/gain was on some different sets of 10's and 12's. Design plays a big part in this.

yea check out madvibe's blue mazda 6 ......thats where i got the idea from...just make sure ou have enough room 2 fit all 4 facing into the cabin....

on mine i couldnt do across so im making a clam shell box

i dont think i had more than a db of difference when i metered seats up vs down. but i also had a whole in the center of the seat where the armrest was, and parts of my rear deck werent there either
