Chode69
Neo's can be used for daily music and burps...You just have to have a way to properly move the air away from the Motor...Neo is much stronger then ferrite but it breaks down due to heat....If you can get the motor properly cooled then i would go Neo if not then just go Ferrite i know neos hate heat...but... how does one keep it kooled Quote NoFearX18 said: Nick will bang just about anything.....LMAO....pun intended On 4/13/2010 at 9:51 AM, meade916 said: i was like DAMN, Chode is hardcore! he makes james look like a friendly person LOL! trainman0978 said: I dont know who is worse with the buttholes Chode or Big P... thorshammer
Neos dont like daily? I've been running my DC neos at .25 daily on the AB 1100.1. They take it like a champ and sound great! The DC neos were designed to be a daily driver with spl side effects. In my application...I burp at volume 26-27...I also play music at volume 26-27 lol They are far superior in cooling over the lvl 5 and as a result play longer and harder. I've yet to stink them up and I've worked em real hard for sure Nick I'd go for the Neos
Ford302Redneck
i know neos hate heat...but... how does one keep it kooled The design of the motor is how you keep it cool. Sitting a coil that can heat up to 400degree next to something that loses strength at 130degrees or less don't seem like a very good idea. Just what I think? But why does my opinion matter, I'm nobody.
IH8PunkRok
i know neos hate heat...but... how does one keep it kooled air conditioning place some dry ice in the box, run the a/c really high all the time and hope the cold air gets into the box, dont run so much power, extra heatsink, water cooling, umm thats all i cant think of most are relatively ineffective just replace the woofers every 2 years or so (which is done by most anyway so it shouldnt be an issue) Quote -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build

I can only comment on the DC neos as that is all I've played with but there is no and I mean no issue with cooling in this design.

I can only comment on the DC neos as that is all I've played with but there is no and I mean no issue with cooling in this design. I don't have to play with a neo driver to know how things work. The sub works, I can see that. Just don't see how it does for long periods of time without losing strength.

Just don't see how it does for long periods of time without losing strength. Its all in the design. While I agree the biggest down fall to neo was the loss of strength due to heat, things have been changing and growing and cooling has improved 100% AS stated the cooling of this neo driver is far superior than any ferrite motor DC makes.
