You can also gain by taking out that carpet and just painting the box

Again .2 to .3, more trouble then it is worth. I wanted the wall sealed very tight, carpet was the best choice.

exactly my point hommie, tweaking a couple of things, painting the box, sanding and smoothing, tenth by tenth, you end up gaining more than a full db, then you double the power and there you go, 160 dbs sealed on the dash wich is your main goal now hehe, you already did it outlaw.

there´s something easy you can try, i gained 0.4 dbs last time i tried with this and it´s CHEAP, way better than routing, i used a PVC cut in half on the ports, it works like an internal flare, on every slot ported box i try this, i ALWAYS gain and it´s way to easy to do it, you should try it, if you don´t gain any, who cares? you wasted 2$ and 10 minutes of work.

rip out the carpet and put up some laminate

alot of extreme vehicles are smooooooooooth on the inside of them to gain tenths

so i'd imagine if you put up laminate on everything it would act the same as sanding and sanding and sanding some more

That what another thought of mine what dia pipe is that? You get it at like home depot?

That´s a 2" PVC pipe cut in the center, i got a pair of screws and a little bit of resine on it and that´s it, works like a champ, i live outside US, but, it shouldn´t be any difficult for you to find it, i guess home depot must have them, just buy a couple of tubes as large as your port height and that´s it, for me it works great, i don´t know on your case tho..

Sorry I was in a hurry last time. It was resin...sand. bondo...sand. painted it silver and cleared it and wet sanded just like a car. But like I said it has a mirror finish...looks sweet.

I think it was 3.8 that he gained. He set the US record for ss1-2 at slamology this past year.
