Rection Posted November 15, 2010 Report Share Posted November 15, 2010 Im at my 2nd year of college, doing decent but hate it so much, just looking into a career that doesnt require any kind of college, that pays enough to live comfortably and also leaves time and money for car audio....anyone know or are in a career like that, post here please, i need some suggestions just in case i throw in the towel soon also... just fwiw, you have more education than i do. my wife teaches a bunch of medical classes at a well known college in the area. im a high school dropout. i make nearly double what she makes. college doesnt mean much of squat these days. persistance, determination, and common sense will get you alot further in life. I was gonna go back to school to get a degree in networking security, but what's the point? I've never had a job, so no experience. Now I'm trying to land this job as a correctional officer and my mother said I should go into nursing, work at a hospital, then try to get into the IT department that way. Find a major metro area and you'll be better off. I could get you a job by me in a heart beat. its not what you know its who you know.
