6 10" Pioneer 10s or 1 Fi BL 18

So i'm planning to get a new system. I have been looking at a few different subs, I am not sure which setup would be the best quality and also have good bass/spl. So here's what i was thinking

6 10" pioneer 1200 watt

1 18" Fi BL

If I go with the fi after january I will be able to afford a second 18

Its going in a 2000 durango ( im getting new amps after i decide) so any comments should help.

Also has any one heard either one of the subs just curious on the sound

i actually have 2 vote the 6 tens on 2 aq 1200d because of cone area even tho i love fi and own fi

but the fi would be sick on a aq 2200

Well, you have the space for both boxes?? i don´t know much about durangos, but i do know a little bit about those 10" pioneer subs, i built a friend´s scion XB a few months ago, a piece of junk hifonics hfi2500D amp with a 140 amps alternator and single kinetik HC1800 battery on the front, he wanted to play as loud as he could with that amount of power and didn´t care about numbers that much, i ended up building 2 subs front/2subs up with port side box, 6 cubic feet after displacement and 84SQ of port, let me tell you, that shit sounds AWESOME!!!!

It´s loud as hell, plays very nice on every song we play, and best of all, scores 146.7 dbs sealed on the dash without any flares, 45´s , resin or anything, i know i it has at least another db on it if i get some more work done, but yes i really love how it plays, funniest thing is that he has 200$ on subs and beats a lot of guys with much more money on subs.

I can´t say 6 subs of those are gonna be louder than a single 18" BTL, i honestly think a BTL would murder them, but damn, they are way cheaper and Also, wow factor FTW hehe.

i would honestly do the 18" because he can always grow him system more i doubt your goin to be able to do that those pioneers, even tho for the price tho subs are pretty badass

Id have to say go with the 6 Pioneer's... I had 2 12" of the next model up and they were some of the loudest 12s I have heard to date....Again I had an amp that could power over 2500rms...but it was only 1/3 the way up....Go with cone area...with recommended power they will still be using as much as a BTL

1/3 of the way up?...you do realize the gain knob isnt a volume knob. sorry i had to ask that.

I would go with the 6 10s, Will handle more power daily than 1 bl.

Ok well i also was checking out these newer model pioneers they are 2500 watts each so How about 6 of the lower grade or 4 of the higher quality

Still a piece of junk cheap pioneer sub, i prefer the 6 10´s option, way better for daily abuse cause they disipate heat way better
