E a r t h
My T5002 is rated @ 75x2 @ 4ohm, but it does 231x2 @ 4ohm and 1040 bridged @ 2ohm Edited August 23, 2007 by Earthman
nathan89
the higher the efficiency, the better. The T800.2 I was looking at had an efficiency rating of 48% Does the lower efficiency mean it does not put out as much power as it says it does, or does it mean it takes more power from the battery/alternator to run it?? Please, somebody clue me in because this is what I am going to make my decision on between the T800.2 and the T1500.1bd By the way, if I remeber right, the spec sheet I looked at for the T1500.1bd said it had 81% efficiency. Sorry for all the questions guys, but I want to get the best amp I can this time. You help is GREATLY appreciated.

You help is GREATLY appreciated. the reason tha T800.2 is 48% eff is because its a 2 channel amp.monoblocks are alot more eff.also, the lower eff means more of a strain on the bat/alt.more wasted power. it just takes more power to produce more power.
