mbdblue
The top of amps are designed with those ribs to dissipate (sp?) heat so they should be fine. LSN2meBoom916
wouldnt that make the amps really hot?? nonetheless great build! No because the tops of the HEAT SINKS (metal fins) are still exposed to dissipate heat and keep them cool.If you check my build log, I have run them like this from day one, only they were farther back in the car because the were mounted in a rack that mounted to the backside/front of the box and the "face" of each amp was exposed in the same mannor. In THIS, new positon, they are exactly as they were although about 10"-12" coser to the front of the vehicle when the seats are folded down, which is how I usually roll anyhoo, so they are closer to the A/C from up front and/or the cooler air comin in from the open windows/sunroof. The top of amps are designed with those ribs to dissipate (sp?) heat so they should be fine.Dats right. Brick2560
I once thought about doing this in the back seats of my truck, but then I realized if I put a system in, the seats are going out anyways.
