does the big 3 really help on smaller systems?

I've only got 500w rms, do I really need to do the big 3?

The lights dim a little bit, but not much...

I plan to get a 40x2 amp on the dash 2ways but that's probably going to be it.

Why wouldn't you do it? It's not needed for the current you're pulling, but even then there is no con to doing it.

Maximize the amount current, most efficient, sets you up for upgrades further down the road, so why not?

awesome thing about that comment is i saw somethin close to that earlier. to the OP if you got the wire do it, if youre lazy and dont feel like doin it, its not necessary with a 'small' system. but then again if you like bass and youre on this forum. upgrading is inevitable

The big 3 helps no matter what. If you have added anything to the stock electrical system, the big 3 will help.
