bobmcbob_345
Get a bigger alt. 180 amps at 14.4 volts will only support a little over 2500 watts. And you also have to take the power that the car uses to stay runing into mind. You don't have the right electrical
tsuch20
thats the only and biggest h/o alt there is. Ive ran 2 t1500-bd @ 1 ohm which was 3600 watts with no heat problems so i know its a wiring problem. re grounded tonight will know after my long drive to work in the morning if it worked!! Ford302Redneck
How hot is hot/warm? Can you keep touch it for more than a minute? I like how people come in and blame stupid things without truly knowing what's going on.
sundownz
If the amp is not shutting off it's fine -- it is not unusual for a high powered amp that is putting out high power to be warm Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]

Slawsen
Any reasons why this is getting warm/hot. Its on a well ventilated area. I hear when it amplifies the power, some energy is expended as heat. That's prolly why. REaudioBuff
/thread.... ^^^ thats the reason its hot... Anyone that plays their system for 1-2 hours slamming it will get their equipment warm even on good voltage.
