Work on your doors : put a good deadening material on the door skins, seal the holes in the doors, add some mdf rings to mount your speakers. That should help your midbass to come alive ! You should cross your subs at 100 Hz max. Mine is crossed at 80Hz ! 160 is way too high for a sub, and not low enoug for your mids & highs speakers ! black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a sealed box. poloplayer Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Ok I have an idea for you put your sub at a 100hz lowpass and your mids and highs at 100 us high pass because most door speakers can drOp down below 100 but cut it off there and if it distorts at high levels check your amp and maybe invest in an oscope so you can set everything up right And for the camry are you going to bolt the box down?? 1994 honda accord 2.2L VTEC sub is re se motor with fi cone in a pre fab box stock door speakers on an alpine v12 4 channel sub on a 1000 watt alpine monoblock need a dash kit and harness to put my alpine deck in also need tons of sound deadner need to install my apline type r compontents up front need to buy type r 6x9's for the rear

And I'll reset my crossovers when I get back home. I don't have my mids/highs amped yet, but it was the crappy door speakers that distorted. The bass sounded like paper flapping at high volume, the Pioneers I had in the rear sounded fine though. Does that mdf ring really help? Cuz what really defines better yea know? but they both have triple stack motors, same power rating so same coils really, they look to have the same amount of xmax. but the skar's basket looks a little beafier and so does the magnet. Plus i think the level 3 is like 250? somewere around there. skar is 170. id go with skar for sure. BUILD LOG
