98crewcab
I feel like this would be a better option for longer life span than a HO alt. http://www.alternatorparts.com/Extreme%20Duty%20Dual%20Rectifier%20CS-144%20type.htm 98crewcab, look for a CS144 or AD244 at the junk yard. The AD244 has better cooling and the bridge rectifier & voltage regulator are mounted "outside" of the case rather than inside where they can get hot. The CS144 is just a 15lb beast, make sure you get the right case tho. You want the late model (needle bearing in the back)It is a much better studier case. You can tell the late model b/c the steel cover for the needle bearing is usually rusted like the 200 amp one I have. Im pretty sure those have 50 amp diodes too Damn bro, thanks tons for all the info! saved alot of research. looking forward to seeing these babies hummin!!!! dammit.....i just made a mess on my keyboard!!!!! those are the 140 amp alts? very nice!!!! going to pick and pull tomorrow reading > me. 150's...... awesome i read pick n pull and i was like damn he must b from sac and i looked up and sure chit...i remmember them when i was back home your not missing much right now....rain rain go away....... I got shit to do dammit!!!!! lol 06 2500hd, 6.0L, 4l80e, 4wd, (muah work truck) 7" BDS HC lift kit (5) 37x13.5R18 Toyo Open Country M/Ts (5) 18x10 Moto Metal MO962 tablet in lieu of deck blue tooth interconnect to soundstream eq (for volume control and bass control) 4 Alpine type r 10's 6 cubes net, 80sqin's port, tuned to 33hz 2 brutus brx5000.5's 2 pairs 3" polk audio for a pillars 4 pairs polk audio 6.5 comps 1 pair 8" polk audio for mids 2 xspower d3400 batteries.....learning alot from meade and his circle of some of the baddest installers ive seen- thanks guys, for not being so cocky and posting the way it should be done!P.S. BulletInjection
You can't mount it like that if it is touching that hose. It will cut straight through it in seconds.
