I feel like this would be a better option for longer life span than a HO alt.

98crewcab, look for a CS144 or AD244 at the junk yard.

The AD244 has better cooling and the bridge rectifier & voltage regulator are mounted "outside" of the case rather than inside where they can get hot.

The CS144 is just a 15lb beast, make sure you get the right case tho. You want the late model (needle bearing in the back)It is a much better studier case. You can tell the late model b/c the steel cover for the needle bearing is usually rusted like the 200 amp one I have. Im pretty sure those have 50 amp diodes too

1st of all, dam i wish i had a plasma cutter or cutting torch!

Im going back to get more alts tomorrow. I think I will sell some on ebay to make my money back.

Anyways, here is the start of a bracket. I need a duplicate of this one and still lots of welding and other work to do
