fecupe2001
Yes he had a 14K stetsom if i remember correctly, it´s a trunk car and they are a pain in the ass to score great numbers tho, i had a Cadence C6 on my subs, i can asure you this, if i were using better subs like 3 3510´s , level 4´s or something like that, i could have reached the 150 mark without any problems, my 1510´s reached mechanical limits at 900 watts per sub so i couldn´t past the 148 mark, they did pretty nice hairtricks and everything, i also built a box for a Scion XB some months ago, 4 Cheap ass Pioneer champions with an Hifonics hfi2500D wich is barely 2000 watts, he´s at 147 dbs right now @ 48 hz, i just love 10" systems, they impress a lot of people. One funny off topic about that setup, he has 2 subs up/2 subs forward and port side, he bass raced a 146 and i told him to open the trunk, people only could see 2 pioneer´s from the back of the car, hahaha people was like WTF???? 2 10" pioneer??? we never told them it was 4 subs hehe Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. I have no dealers nearby...

kirill007
What is SQL? Define it if you would.. SQL is a system that'll play from 20hz-4000+hz and sound good on every frequency. The system also needs to be LOUD. SQL generally has subs, dedicated midbass speaker(s), midranges, and tweeters. Steve and Trippis systems would be classified as SQL Edit: didn't make sense before SQL doesn't exists... SQ and SPL are 2 oppposites, cant combine them. What is SQL? Define it if you would..... What's your budget? For wanting 10 12"s and only expecting a 140 your goals are slightly off. not really sure what i kind of numbers I could get with that many subs and cone area...I never had 10s...I started with a crv 15 sealed and now have 2 18s in a 4th order...hell I don't even know how loud 140 is...I know what 148+ sounds like though lol Truth be told, you do not know what it sounds like. 148db can sound like 100 different things depending on the vehicle, the frequency it peaks at, and enclosure used. And with the "SQL". Sound quality is about bringing a lifelike staging to the car with a well balanced sound. Steve's Tahoe can be nothing close to this with the wide area that his mids/highs are mounted, it would be impossible to get them to sound as if they are staging on the dash. So what I think you want is just a very loud frontstage/substage that doesn't sound like crap. Am I right? Who says that that is the definition of SQL? It doesn't exists as a (real) term It's just you're definition. heres the minimum requirements for SQL dont know if it will work in a car though.... http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2005/en/us/system-requirements.aspx LOL, that was funny Quote Thinking is the root of all problems...
