deepsilencer
I need a box design for my 5 sundown audio 8s,that would go under the back seat of a 2000 silverado ext. cab. It's a daily driver system but I would want a good box to also be loud, that's when you experts come along On the silverado is going to have a: 250 amp alt, 1-aq3500, 2 kinetik hc2400s, 1/0 gauge knukonceptz, fatmat, music would be playing off a alpine cde-102 deck,no more stock These are the max. dimensions and random designs that i came up with, you guys decide for me which design would be best and which one should i go for. I don't care how it looks as long as it gets loud and sounds clean. I also can raise up the seat 1",that's all what it can let me,if you guys need more room. If 5 can't fit than I'm down to go 4,but i would like to have 5 if it's possible TUNING: 38HZ NEW UPDATE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE: QUOTE #14 INFO ABOUT THE SUNDOWN AUDIO 8: RE: 3.28 ohms (series) FS: 41.6 Hz Qes: 0.513 Qms: 6.606 Qts: 0.476 Le: 2.778 mH Vas: 3.285 L BL: 17.138 N/A Cms: 83.341 um/N Mms: 175.654 g Sens: 78.476 dB @ 1w/1m Power: 400 RMS Depth: 5.25" Overall basket OD (no gasket): 8.25" Cut-out diameter (without gasket): 7.375" Cut-out diameter (with gasket): 7.25" Magnet diameter: 6.25" XMAX: 16.5mm one way INFO ABOUT THE AMP: 4 ohm power @ 1% THD 750W x 1 1 ohm power @ 1% THD 3,500W x 1 1 ohm Power @ 16V @ 1% THD 4,000W x 1 1 ohm Power @ 18V @ 1% THD5,100W x 1 1 ohm Power @ 18V @ 10% THD 6,500W x 1 Edited January 2, 2011 by deepsilencer Quote TEAM FLEX ISSUES,TEAM DC AUDIO 2000 Silverado Ext 1500 v.3 (Walled Silverado) 4 DC Power 270a Alts on A DC Power Quad Alt Bracket XS Power VCM,Stinger Volt Meters 4 AA Mayhem 18s 2 DC Audio 9.0ks Strapped 1 DC Audio 175.4 4 Selenium 6.5s & 4 Selenium 8s 4 Selenium Super Tweeter st350s 72 SQ Ft Of Stinger Roadkill Expert Alpine CDA 9887 XS Power d3400(Hood),6 XS Power d3100s(Bed) & much more..... 2011 Meca CA State Champion & State Record Holder In M5 Meca SPL:158.2 Meca P&P:137.4 DB Drag:159.1 USACI:161.2 BUILD LOG.....YOUTUBE CHANNEL.....FEEDBACK

soundman72
If you make the box taller, to the height of the back glass. Then make it less deep according to your math. You could fit 5 subs plus ports and amp I believe. Forgive my lame ass text drawing, but it's quick and easy. But you'll get the idea. When everything is in place it should line up nice if you are looking for a general clean look. Plus you can pass the amp wires straight through the box for that clean no wire look. ______________ | amp_ | |sub |____| sub| |sub sub sub| |port ____ port| |____/ \____|
