Recommended Posts

wow...drawing fail

No...reading fail, lol. Under the seat?

OP...under the seat is a very tight fit....does it need to be 5? 3 might work nicely....or life the seat up 2"

This kids truck looks pretty nice and gets down. But he only has 4 subs. And from the dimensions I dont think 5 is gonna fit.

With an idea like this, you can't be afraid to do work and get creative. You should go buy a nice big roll of fiberglass matting and a gallon of resin. The only wood that should be used is the MDF for the five mounting rings and maybe some 2x2 to hold them in place. Cut some 1"x1" steel tubing to use as a spacer to raise that seat up that inch. I've done two extensive under seat enclosures like the one you want to do, I can talk you through what you have to do to use every bit of space your truck has to offer.

It's all gone!

that's what i was thinking, maybe that design can work for mine

he's from quartz hill,ca

not that far from us

his box is 3cubes

with the 2 4" aero ports on each side of the box

there aero ports length are 13" long

if i do that type of design with 5 of them while raising the seat

2"

it should look like this

img906.jpg

it can probably work

i dont know if that's enough for 4cubes

and on the aero ports size maybe 6"

fk idk

If you make the box taller, to the height of the back glass. Then make it less deep according to your math. You could fit 5 subs plus ports and amp I believe. Forgive my lame ass text drawing, but it's quick and easy. But you'll get the idea. When everything is in place it should line up nice if you are looking for a general clean look. Plus you can pass the amp wires straight through the box for that clean no wire look.

I did that with 4 Kicker 10's (two L7's and two L5's) in a sealed box on a Lanzar Opti2000D (wired @ 0.5 ohm so just under 2KW RMS) and it was pretty nice.

If you're not afraid of splitting the seat in half you could have the box come up between the seats for more volume and put the port in it facing upwards out the top back.

MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..."

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.
