Forevrbumpn
The TERM SQ- Sound Quality is pretty frusterating, when people ask about it, or say they have it. When thinking of subwoofers, SQ would be the flatest sounding, or on a graph/chart. Basically if you have a sub that plays 20hz as good as 40hz, as 80hz, with excelent transient response thats a awesome woofer Transient (spelling) response is the woofer ability to react to different tones really fast, and have excellent cone control. A subwoofer just cuz it plays really loud, at a low freq is not considered SQ, so, out of those 3, I would say the JL 13w7, Iam not the biggest fan of JL, but that sub is pretty easy to get it to play cleanly. And ofcourse, SQ, is based on box design, signal, equalization, mids and highs I can go on and on about reading specs fom a woofer in and out of a box, or getting a sub to play flatter and cleaner, but there is only so much room here I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
