m90lf Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. the sub fits into the hole but there is a a chunk that's going to let air out. is there any way i can fill up that with something so the air doesn't leak?

m90lf Posted January 7, 2011 Author Report Posted January 7, 2011 Oh my where to start.. Rebuild the top end. how do i do that? should i hack saw the front off of it? could i duct tape over the hole?
ESchlong Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I would go down to the homedepot and get some wood filler, my port broke once and i used that with sheet metal screws. if all else fails hack saw the side off and use birth to repair it.
techforce Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Well... if you dont have any other way... if the hole isnt that big... liquid nail that bish... But... u could of bought a zigsaw at walmart for the price of the hammer! LOL!
Team808 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Not sure what to say here. I would say but a jig saw,and make a new top and cut the hole properly. Member of Team 808 Member of Team North East Spl
techforce Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Or you could bondo it or fiberglass it... or you could use a piece of drywall...
Rebel4055 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Don't duct tape it or use any wood filer. If it's a GIANT hole just go replace the ENTIRE baffle, don't just ghetto rig it.
