cboos55 Posted January 10, 2011 Author Report Posted January 10, 2011 i dont know why you think it needs more strength than .75" mdf. its over built already. unless you didnt use glue. when you wrap it, use a layer of foam. itll give it a softer look and feel. especially on the arm rest. I did use glue just that one middle piece i plan on putting cup holders and some weight on it and i use .5 mdf there for some stupid reason lol anyways also if you can see the angled portion was really weak do to the fact that the angle was so extreme it left me no wood to let the screw screw down on so i was gonna fiberglass that anyways so i decided why not just do the whole inside just to make sure it really doesnt come apart lol Yay i did plan on using foam too My 1992 Blazer Currently: - 3" Body Lift - 32" Cooper tires on Center Line Rims - 2 15" FI SSD's - 6 cubic foot box tuned @ 29 hz - 2 Hitron 2000.2 for subs - 1 sony 4 channel for speakers - 2 runs of 0 guage to back - 270 amp alt - Custom center console Soon: - 4 15" FI SSD's - 2 Hifonics Brutus 2400.1D - 2 Hifonics Zeus 40.4 - Custom door panels - Custom battery rack - Many other goodies:) (Not the best stuff but its what i can afford)

I would've used 1/2" birch to save weight, and the fiberglassing was unnecessary. I suppose this was for experience/practice mostly? Either way nice design lines, they accent the interior well. When i made the angles between the front piece which houses the moniter and the flat piece where the cup holders will be, the angle was off so there was a rather large gap between them. so i threw some body filler just to make it nice and even and get the right angle. other than that i didnt really do much. I'll let everything dry over night and ill sand it all smooth tomorrow. I also bought the rest of my switches today as well as the second screen which will face the back seat.
