nCOMP1337 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 that is quite the interesting design bakerman, i like it, anything different is always fun to see Quote
VaNQuisH Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 well seeing what u guys said. i think ima do some more math. and re-post up a different design. a 4th order. tuning on them tuned to 43hz for a low end monster?. 43hz is very high for tuning unless your competing... for lows you want to be in the LOW 30's Quote Currently: * Hybrid Audio Legathia 3-Way Active Front Stage * (2) Morel Ultimo 12's * (2) Arc Audio 1100.1 XDi v2 (Strapped @1ohm) * (1) Arc Audio 1200.6 * RF 360.3 DSP
jsawdy212 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 he said 4th order you always tune high on them because the design of the box drops the tuning. 43hz should be good on the lows! jake1993 Posted January 17, 2011 Author Report Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) well i guys i started to work on a 4th order design but im havin troubles getting the space to work out for 6 15's so i got bored and went at the other box design and changed it a little to c if this style would work. was kinda designed around dc audio lvl 3 12's. its a little small. these are the specs for 1 ported side. and the other is identical to it let me know what u think would this work? or still need some changes? n8ball2013 Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 its going to act as a bandpass more than likely which is going to require its own tuning. The only way I can see it not acting like that is to keep a ton of space between the two rows of woofers. I dont mess with the bandpasses. Id check wtih dwright corona jeff and sanitarium. Sanitarium Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 yeah i know i didn't put the sub displacement it. but the little difference it will make wont be a issue. any1 know for sure if the port length would be exrenal? I can't see the pictures. But you do realize that 6 15's aren't a "little" difference right? Try over a cube of airspace lost to just subs. Quote
