my sub cant hit everything help

My sub can hit every song i have tried to play except bass i love you, i was wondering what i am doing wrong because i have basically set the amp to every available frequency so i could try and hit the lows. Im new to car audio if you cant tell by my setup.

my set up is:

Alpine SWR-1242D (TYPE R)

Rockford Fosgate PRIME R500-1

If you have 2 subs it sounds like a cancellation issue or the box you got is tunned way to high. That or you turned the lpf on that amp to max?

Box is tuned too high. get someone on here to design you a new one and you can build it.

if you would have looked at his box you would see its only a single 12 so no cancellation

im gonna say its your box. a pre fab is usually tuned pretty high like say 36 into the low 40's. if you wanna hit the lows your gonna need a box that is tuned lower as in low 30's. its almost always the box unless you have your settings wrong on either your headunit or amp.

Sorry I'm on mobile. Sometimes prefabs can be tuned in like the 50s. Sounds like the box or you just didn't put and settings to where they need to be

Figuring the dimensions given on the site, I crunched the numbers and the box comes out to 1.2 cubes after all displacements, and is tune to roughly 44Hz.

There's your problem.

My prefab which I'm chabging out very soon to a real box is tuned around 45 and I can hit some lows just not all of them

its a type r. you lack the motor strength to get down and jiggy with that song. you simply need more woofer to pull it off. And by more woofer i mean a bigger and better woofer not more. Like James said if you can get all the notes on bass ilove you with that woofer something is gonna give.

yeah the woofer or the prefab box

i have alot of air space in my ride and have found tuning to 42 seems better for some mad reason. If i tune to 30 or lower it seems to loose the hit. plays bass i love you ok though with its bass you fell not hear lol.
