Autruche
Just do it the right way. Back up your files on an external drive then wipe your hard drive and reinstall your operating system. It's the only way to be sure it's gone. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Be sure you have AV installed and double check that it didn't disable your security settings in your browser. Rebel4055
DO NOT RUN COMBOFIX! If it's not a hard core virus DO NOT RUN IT!!! If you run combofix just out of the blue without knowing what virus you have it WILL delete files that are perfectly fine. Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware first! Rest In Peace mother. I do have another experience, with my OWN pc. I thought I had a virus because shit just wasn't acting right at all, so I thought well if AVG or anything didn't pick it up then it must be one of those viruses that are obfuscated. So I ran combofix, well it removed about 10 windows files, I forgot what they were but my PC was still working. And if you read on their site it says not to use it as a "scanner" and to use it at your own risk. Rest In Peace mother. And if you read on their site it says not to use it as a "scanner" and to use it at your own risk. I don't use it as a scanner, I mean you know full well when a pc has issues with porn and viagra stuff all over the place. You sure those files it deleted weren't infected garbage that it had put in the registry? Just today I ran it to nuke a couple trojans on a pc. Every time you would try to run AV or anything else the PC would reboot (half of the time completely screwing up the MBR). Anyways, ran combo which nuked the files, booted up off the network and let SuperAnti clean up the rest. After that you still have to clean up any stuff it nuked from startup. If you see rundll or iexplore or anything like that it was junk. Combo always gets the junk off your pc (except some rootkits I've run into), but often times does require simple cleanup after even if it's just like CCleaner or something (registry cleaner). I won't lie and say it's not dangerous, but they are all use at your own risk. cc_audio
Well, I spent about 5 hours on and off the phone with SecureIT trying to figure it out. After funneling it down, it was my ad-blocker add-on. I had to remove it, run virus scanner and she was back to working. It was so difficult to track down, because only firefox was having problems, not IE or G-Chrome, and only on this site. This is the only site where I've really blocked adds, so what a pain in the ass. If anyone ever has a simular problem, Firefox adblock add-on is the problem. It's all gone!
