Also why dont they make single 2 ohm or 1 ohm can DVC take more power at higher resistance? You know how you avoid that? The result would be the lower impedance receiving more power so there would be a performance mis-match. Also, there are single 1 and 2ohm coils, but most companies dont use this so they dont produce much of them at coil factories. Dual coils are much more flexible for different wiring schemes.
