craniumcrackinbassv2 Posted January 11, 2011 Author Report Posted January 11, 2011 ok im going to do this step by step to show you guys what im doing. i click on DL, a DL screen pops up and says find,save and cancel i click save, after that it asks me if i want to save it as box%20tunning20%calculater. when thats done it opens another screen that says open, open folder or cancel i just click open after that it asks me what program would i like to open this file with. the list of programs it gives me are, google chrome, itunes, paint, microsoft word, internet explorer. adobe reader 9.1 and a fe other random programs....

Torres Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 why would your computer save it as .ext? for whatever reason, skydrive where i have it hosted is picky with .exe files. sometimes people can download it normally, sometimes they have to rename it. not sure why that is exactly. but like everyone else said, it needs to be renamed. you need to actually see the extension of the file before you change it. can't change it otherwise. you'll probably have to go to tools, folder options, click the view tab, and click on the 'hide file extensions for known file types' (if you haven't done it that is). that is the only way to fix it if you're getting the 'open with' window. IF that is what you did and still isn't working then what is happening after? you said you tried it but didn't say what was happening after it still failed to open
