What would it take for trunk car to be loud with a sealed box?

Good sealed box= start with manufacturers specs, make airspace exactly right. Make sure box is completely sealed, no air leaks at all. Even a hole the size of cunt hair can loose some output. Put some kind of strip caulk around basket of sub so it makes airtight seal to box. Silicone speaker wires where they come out of box to make sure u can't feel any air coming from there. I personally don't like the plastic box terminals. I seen too many leak and make vibrations

1 RF T1 12 in a prefab sealed box did like 90s on ~500 watts so yes sealed can get loud. I'm in the process of buildin a box and getting everything hooked up. I have two T1 12s and a RF 1500.1 then once that's all done I'll find a TL instead of my little radioshack meter

I understand that meter isnt perfect but it isn't off by too horribly much. Idk why everyone disses on prefabs, I bought it, made sure it is completely air tight, and not only that it is the exact volume that i need, minus about .05 ft^3. Don't believe me if you wish but thats what the meter said, ~85-92 depending on the song.

Hence why i said 90s and not 190s? I'm pretty damn sure my single T1 didn't break the world record.

Would their be any special technique to building a good Sealed box?

I always build mine so each speaker had its own chamber. Dont know if thats best but just how i liked to do it.

So you have world record huh? I wanna see it. Plus with a single 8 you should still hit a 120..

did anyone read when he said he had a radioshack microphone? lol. the TL is a pressure sensor. bass is pressure, so you need a pressure meter to read the strength. a microphone is used to pick up noise, not pressure.
