slow240sx Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Good sealed box= start with manufacturers specs, make airspace exactly right. Make sure box is completely sealed, no air leaks at all. Even a hole the size of cunt hair can loose some output. Put some kind of strip caulk around basket of sub so it makes airtight seal to box. Silicone speaker wires where they come out of box to make sure u can't feel any air coming from there. I personally don't like the plastic box terminals. I seen too many leak and make vibrations 99 GMC Suburban 2 Death Penalty 21" 2 Crescendo BC2000 Boston GT-42 Amp 6 Selenium 6w4p 4 Crescendo tweets Hi output cs144 alt Audiocontrol Epic-160 Pioneer DVD head unit

I'm in the process of buildin a box and getting everything hooked up. I have two T1 12s and a RF 1500.1 then once that's all done I'll find a TL instead of my little radioshack meter REST IN PARADISE BIG RICH (Sqmonte) never forgotten Why do you guys ALWAYS dispute on NUMBERS????? Idk why everyone disses on prefabs, I bought it, made sure it is completely air tight, and not only that it is the exact volume that i need, minus about .05 ft^3. Don't believe me if you wish but thats what the meter said, ~85-92 depending on the song. 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Pioneer DEH5100-UB 2 - P1S412 4 - Alpine SRS-600 Alpine MRP-M500 Monster 8g power/ground-1/0 Big 3 Soon to come: 2 - T1D212 RF T1500.1bdCP RF T500.4bd Mechman 220 amp alt Kinetik KHC1800 Hit me up if you need help with anything in the Tulsa Area.

PUNKYOU007 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Would their be any special technique to building a good Sealed box? I always build mine so each speaker had its own chamber. Dont know if thats best but just how i liked to do it. Doethepaperboy "Bars of Pain" Doethepaperboy "Hero Remix" C. Arson d(-__-)b beer sucks...but i can bring some jose cuervo. Guest Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 did anyone read when he said he had a radioshack microphone? lol. the TL is a pressure sensor. bass is pressure, so you need a pressure meter to read the strength. a microphone is used to pick up noise, not pressure.
